Tournament details:

Site:  We will play our games at the Mariners Centre, 45 Jody Shelley Dr, Yarmouth, NS B5A 4R3.  During the play we will provide tea, coffee and goodies as provided by our sponsors and volunteers.  And we have the friendliest caddies around.  They will move the boards for those at table 1 and will deliver hot drinks and water to your table.

Lobster Dinner:

Saturday's dinner will be prepared by our chef James Crosby from Bailey's Bakery. It

will be a 1.5 lbs lobster dinner for $35.00 or chicken cordon bleu for $30.  You can reserve your dinner ahead of time which will save you $10.00. Tickets will be also on sale at the tournament for the full price. But we may run out of lobsters so please, plan ahead.

You will not be asked to pay in advance, we just want to get an idea of how many dinners we will need. And you save $10.00 by reserving ahead of time.

E-mail swnovabridge@icloud.com for dinner reservations.

Leo Mooney Loonie Round:

The Individual round is in honour of Leo Mooney who played Bridge in

Yarmouth for many years. He was always willing to play with different partners and

kept a simple bidding system.  Leo would sometimes bet a Loonie with his good friend

Martin, just to spice things up. It will be open to everyone and we will have spare players to fill in and ensure there is no sit-outs.

As quoted in Alex Groner's book 'Duplicate Bridge Direction': The SPIRIT OF FUN

can readily enter an individual duplicate game. A sense of adventure and a sense of

humour help make it a more effective one.

The winner of the Leo Mooney Loonie Round will receive a Silver Dollar from the Canadian Royal Mint.

Saturday & Sunday Lunches

For lunch, a sandwich and chips combo will be available for $10. Tickets will

be on sale Friday and Saturday.

We look forward to welcoming you to our town and our tournament.
